The Lansdowne Neighborhood Association hosts a number of events each year. We regularly hold General Membership meetings in late winter, late spring or early summer and in November. At these meetings we conduct the formal business of the association and feature speakers on topics of interest to our members. In recent years we have featured speakers on neighborhood safety, landscaping tips, the Mayor’s vision for neighborhoods, the city’s plans to fix our leaking sewers and address our storm water problems. Our November meeting also includes Officer and Board elections. In addition we hold a neighborhood wide picnic at the Signature Club, usually on the first or second Monday in September.
Besides our regular meetings, we typically organize one or more work days in the neighborhood. On these dates we get to know our neighbors and enhance the beauty of our neighborhood by organizing gardening and cleanup projects for the Lansdowne median and Zandale Park. And we periodically put together other events as requested by our neighbors, such as creating a neighborhood float for the 4th of July Parade.
